Translated from the original German manuscript by Erwin G. and Elisabeth K. Gudde. Illustrated throughout with black and white photos, maps, and reproductions of paintings and drawings. Light bumping to spine ends; rubbing and and 1/2" closed tear to top front of jacket. Volume 33 in the American Exploration and Travel Series, based on the portion of Lienhard's manuscript narrative detailing his overland journey, as part of the "Five German Boys" (though he was Swiss). Dust jacket present. First Edition.
